And we're back!
It's been a long time since I did one of these. Had my shoulder sliced open and a mole removed since my last post. Having another small procedure in 2 weeks and another mole removed in 3 weeks, but nobody cares about that. What we should care about is that I'm trying to force myself to get back to the grind and learn about pixel art/design. The music will be the last thing I do, but for now I REALLY need to work on building the world since (I think) my battle engine is now complete (other than adding one or 2 more special moves).
I did have one minor accomplishment within the last week. i finally looked at tile switching. Using that concept, I created an animated background. So, for some reason I made a space town/location. But I animated some fans on a ship/building, added spinning galaxies, and some "twinkling" stars. Small accomplishment and easy to do, but definitely looks nice!
I don't know how frequent my updates will be in the near term. I really need to focus on my shoulder rehab more. I am personally doing very well; however, I really want to get back to working out again. That said, I also want to refocus on this as I'd love to have a mostly complete game in a year or so. It sounds realistic, but I also know at the rate I'm going I'll never actually finish this. It's all about that balance.
Anyhow, enough incoherent rambling from me.

Glad to see that you are back! I too had a similar procedure (on my chest and back) last year. Looking forward to seeing the updates!
